SiS LVM Home Lunden receives women with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse. We accept clients who have mental health issues and clients who need medical care. We operate in Lund.

Job Description

Do you want to help create life-changing transformations for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team together with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the clients living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified care and motivational work and provide support in daily life. With your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the fulfillment of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You help maintain safety according to our routines and participate in ensuring that daily life runs smoothly with activities, cleaning, cooking, etc. Being a contact person is also one of your tasks. The work may also include mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for you who see a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to a schedule of days, evenings, and weekends.

We are looking for two new treatment pedagogues for our Hill department

As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training combines theory with a guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations.

Qualifications

To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's core values of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our clients. As a person, you are secure in yourself and find it easy to build relationships with clients as well as with other staff members. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressured situations. You find it easy to collaborate with others and can handle conflicts constructively.

You should also have:

• A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) focused on social/pedagogical treatment work or an equivalent degree from a university that we assess as comparable
• A valid driver's license (B)
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

• Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in psychiatry or LSS care
• Experience from client-facing positions in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, e.g., as a probation officer
• Experience from client-facing positions at the Swedish Migration Agency, e.g., as a case officer in detention
• Training in care and nursing
• Experience working with our target group
• Experience in LARO

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
